Welcome to Saberwars! The worlds first large scale player vs player armoured saber combat experience! Armour up with our full body protective suit, head protection and hand armour and prepare to enter the Arena for three adrenaline fuelling game modes.
Game Modes
- Team Deathmatch – Light Side vs Dark Side – Armour up, pick your side and begin! If you are eliminated, raise your hand and walk off the arena and to the back of your team to respawn.
- Battle Royal – Everyman for themselves! Pick a location to start, there will be a count down and then it’s last one standing. Being the last alive crowns you the Champion of the Arena. Once you are out, move to spectating side lines. Duelling courtesy in effect – 1v1 duels no surprise attacks.
- Protect the Champion – Light Side vs Dark Side – One team aims to eliminate the Champion while one team aims to defend the Champion. If the Champion survives and the other team are completely eliminated, the Champions team wins.
Returning to the Arena?
- Battle Royal – Hardcore Mode – Everman for themselves! Pick a location to start, there will be a count down and then it’s last one standing. Being the last alive crowns you the Champion of the Arena. Once you are out, move to spectating side lines. No duelling courtesy, attack anyone from anywhere at any time.

To start we will go over the saber basics so you can experience it in it’s entirety throughout the course of the event. To improve this process we suggest you review the saber instructions. Additionally we will go over the safety rules. Please revise these rules in advance. Before the event will start we need to make sure all participants have signed and agreed to our waiver. Please review the waiver and sign it before attending to get the most out of your time in the arena.
Returning to the Arena? Your group may select the game modes we play, if you wish to play one game mode for the entirety of the session your group can agree to that.
Now located at The Alea Glasgow, Springfield Quay, Paisley Rd, Glasgow G5 8NP. Please note, Challenge 25 is in effect, so bring your ID if you look younger than 25!
Event Highlights
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Capacity: Up to 14 duellists and 80 standing guests.
- Instruction: Learn the Strike System and be prepared for the Arena with the help of our dedicated duelling Instructor.
- Music: Duel to our specially selected sets or one of our resident DJ’s.
- Equipment: Full head and body armour provided, LED Combat Sabers and gloves provided. You may wish to buy your own pair of gloves for future games.
- Atmosphere: Immerse yourself in a low-light, colourful and reflective environment with high fidelity surround sound speakers.
- Drinks: Complimentary iced water and access to a full-service bar.

- Private Event: Others outside your group may not join your event time.

- Age Restrictions: Saberwars is hosted inside the Alea; participants must be 18 or older. Remember to bring a valid ID if you’re under 25.
